Solar Battery

GEL BATTERY

Gel batteries are a type of deep cycle battery and use a special electrolyte in the form of a gel or paste. Unlike the electrolyte liquid of conventional batteries (such as lead-acid batteries), these batteries contain an electrolyte in gel form. Thanks to these features, they offer some advantages:

Features and Benefits:

  1. Sealing: Gel batteries reduce the possibility of leakage because the electrolyte is in gel form. This allows the battery to be used in a variety of positions or in vibrating environments and, unlike batteries with liquid electrolyte, it is leak-proof.
  2. Deep Discharge Capacity: Gel batteries are more resistant to deep discharge. This allows the battery to be discharged to lower levels and ensures long life and reliable performance.
  3. Low Maintenance Requirement: They do not need to add water as in liquid electrolyte batteries. This reduces maintenance requirements and provides convenience for users.
  4. Vibration Resistance: Gel batteries are resistant to vibrations. This feature allows them to maintain their performance when used in moving or vibrating environments.
  5. Security: Gel batteries provide a safe use as they are unlikely to leak. This is particularly advantageous in sensitive environments or during transport.
  6. Environmentally Friendly: Gel batteries do not contain harmful substances like conventional lead-acid batteries and are generally a more environmentally friendly option.
  7. Wide Application Areas: They can be used in different application areas such as marine and boating applications, caravans and camping, solar energy systems, Emergency power supplies, Wind Energy storage, Communication and Telecommunications, Automotive and Golf carts because they can offer reliable performance in various positions.

These characteristics of gel batteries make them particularly favoured in many areas such as portable energy storage solutions, solar energy systems and mobile applications. However, as every use case is different, it is important to consider your specific requirements and usage scenario when choosing the right battery type.
